Prime Minister Edi Rama is holding a press conference with his Macedonian counterpart, Dimitar Kovacevski, after the meeting within the regional tour of the head of the Albanian government. Kovacevski emphasized that the Berlin Process is important for the region and that Albania as the chair has its support.
“Since the European path from which neither we nor Albania will give up is the strategic goal of the two states already on this path, we should take steps for the Europeanization of our societies to reach European standards both systematically and legally.
One such step was the Berlin Process, in the framework of which we signed three regional agreements dealing with the recognition of higher education qualifications, mutual recognition of medical degrees and freedom of circulation with announcements.
At this summit, in Tirana, as I also told to Edi Rama, that Albania as chairman and him as prime minister have our support in this process because we know that it is gratitude for the country for the results of the region and the country as a whole.
The process is important for the region because of the agreements I highlighted and the initiatives to be taken regarding the economy, digitization, infrastructure and in many other areas. In addition to the initiatives and messages that come from this process, we as a region need quick and concrete benefits that will increase the economic potential and reduce the gap between candidate countries for EU membership and member countries”, said the Macedonian Prime Minister.
We remind you that Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to leave for Pristina to meet at 16:00 with President Vjosa Osmani and then with the Speaker of the Assembly.
Earlier, the head of the government said that he is waiting for a confirmation from Prime Minister Albin Kurti to meet in the afternoon as part of this regional tour.
