Illegal gun found in Tirana police patrol car

An unprecedented event happened on Wednesday evening in one of Tirana’s police stations, where an illegal gun was foud inside a police car. According to the police announcement, a patrol officer at police station No. 1 in Tirana together with her colleague found a firearm inside the service vehicle.

Initially, the police officer lost a personal item and searched together with her colleague in the vehicle. In the lower part of the passenger seat they found a black men’s bag covered with dust. When they opened it, they found a TT pistol inside.

Meanwhile, the weapon has been sent to the laboratory for fingerprints. Meanwhile, it is suspected that the weapon may have been left by an accompanying person who was armed, as well as that he took advantage of the lack of attention of the officers and hid it.

However, it is not yet known how long the weapon has been hidden inside the police car, so the investigators do not yet have any names of suspects.
