A 37-year-old man in Gjirokastra has been arrested this Friday by the police after he was caught distributing doses of heroin and cannabis.
During the physical search and the search in this citizen’s apartment, the Police services found 73 doses of suspected heroin narcotics and several doses of suspected cannabis narcotics, ready for sale, which were seized as material evidence, together with a sum of money benefited from this criminal activity and a mobile device.
Afterwards, the procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of Gjirokastër, for further actions.
“Following the work to combat criminal activities in the field of narcotics, the specialists for Narcotics Investigation of DVP Gjirokastër, in cooperation with the Operational Section and the Special Force “Shqiponja”, based on the information provided by the information intelligence, for a case of distributing narcotics in doses, have organized and finalized the coded police operation “Square”.
As a result, the citizen A. M., 37 years old, resident of Gjirokastër, was arrested in the act for the criminal offense of ‘Production and sale of narcotics'”, announced the police.
