From today, all employees of the Guard of the Republic who, due to their duty, are forced to change their place of residence from one city to another, will be covered by rent from the state.
The decision was taken this Wednesday at the government meeting, while it was announced by Interior Minister Taulant Balla.
“For all employees of the Guard of the Republic, who due to their duty are forced to live in another city, it is imperative that we provide rent coverage for them and their families.”
Among other things, Balla said that police officers will be able to receive loans with zero interest, meeting certain criteria.
“It is the occasion today to share with you the continuation of a decision-making, regarding the treatment of zero-interest loans for police officers, under the age of 40 and who do not have an apartment.
I guarantee every employee, that in a few days because the format will have to be set up within the Albania system, I believe it will be ready by September 15, to apply.
There are about 900 employees who have problems with housing, we aim to treat 100 families within the remaining 4 months, and in 2025 to close this whole area.
I have said since the first day that the dignified treatment of employees is necessary.
We will continue to have the basic objective, before the end of the year holidays, I will visit some of the employees in the new apartments.” Balla continued.
