Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) will hold this Monday the hearing for the questioning of the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj, who is accused of abuse of office by SPAK in connection with the investigations that were carried out for the sterilization concession medical instruments.
Session for questioning the former Minister of Health is set to start at 12:00. After the measure set by the court, Beqaj must appear before the judicial police officer every Friday, while he cannot leave the country without an authorization from the court.
Former Deputy Minister of Health Klodjan Rrjepaj and businessman Ilir Rrapaj were arrested for the same issue. They are under investigation for abuse of office and falsification of documents.
Both are in prison and the court rejected their request for freedom.
Regarding this file, in August of this year, the Special Court asked the prosecution to extend the investigations to the responsibility of six other people, including the former Minister of Health, Ilir Beqaj.
