The meeting between Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic in Brussels has ended.
In a reaction to this meeting, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell stressed that the dialogue and the result that emerges from it is the path to the European future of both parties. He said that the dialogue has brought important results for the citizens of Kosovo and Serbia.
“I am looking forward to a new meeting of the Belgrade-Pristina High Level Dialogue today with President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Albin Kurti,” wrote Borrell
Meanwhile, the media in Serbia say that Vucic said after the meeting that he made it clear that there will be no recognition of Kosovo.
The Serbian President, among other things, stressed that it was agreed that the dialogue should continue.
“It was agreed to continue the dialogue until the end of July,” Vucic said after the meeting.
“The Albanian delegation does not want to fulfill what it signed. “They call it provocations that Serbs want to take part in the liturgy.… Complete lack of reality,” Vucic told the media after the meeting.
“I have not participated in a meeting like this,” said the President of Serbia.
Asked if he had insulted Albin Kurti during the meeting, he said no.
“I responded harshly, but I did not cross the borders. He came to disagree on nothing. He said: “I came to ask you when you will recognize Kosovo”. I said, “Never.” “It exploded,” Vucic noted.
We will continue to work for dialogue, said Vucic and stressed that this “was an attempt to end the dialogue on the part of Kosovo” /abcnews.al
