The Kosovo Police said that in the early hours of July 3, an explosion occurred in North Mitrovica, a municipality inhabited by a majority of Serbs. According to the Police, the vehicle that exploded is suspected to have been a shock bomb.
The event happened at 00:52. Police officials, according to the announcement, “did not encounter collateral damage” from this explosion.
Recently, several attacks with stun grenades and hand grenades have been recorded in the municipalities in North Kosovo. The last bomb attack happened in Zveçan on June 18.
Also, there were shock bomb attacks near the stations in Zveçan and North Mitrovica. On June 26, the municipal facility of North Mitrovica was attacked with a hand grenade, causing material damage.
