After more than 24 hours of swimming, from Brindizi to Vlora, the lawyer Eva Buzo has stopped her challenge to swim across the channel of Otranto, due to health problems.
According to the information, Buzo has speech problems, excess salt and a bite that she suffered.
Journalist Elton Nika reports that the 35-year-old woman after the interruption of the race is in the intensive care unit of the Vlora hospital under the care of doctors.
The Albanian-Australian lawyer had undertaken this challenge to break her previous record of 29 hours without interruption of swimming, this time she had chosen to make the journey from Brindizi to the shores of Vlora, to be welcomed by her relatives afterwards.
