Appellate of the Special Court (GJKKO) has again left the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri in prison this Monday.

Beleri has requested the release or change of his security measure, but it seems that the request has not been taken into account and the decision to keep the elected mayor of Himara in jail remains in force.

During this Monday’s session of the Appeal, the Greek ambassador was also present, who was not allowed to enter the session, as the decision is given only in front of the defenders and the defendant.

After the exit of the Greek ambassador and Beler’s defenders, a citizen objected to their attitude, saying that they were protecting a criminal.

Meanwhile, we remember that Beleri was arrested just two days before the May 14 elections for buying and selling votes.
