Police of Kruja and the Special Operational Forces have finalized this Tuesday the “Red Mountain” operation, arresting the citizen Mehmet Sallaku, and declaring wanted Saba Sallaku, Anfon Sallaku and Ali Sallaku.
Law enforcement have seized 1 Kalashnikov firearm, 21 offensive combat grenades, 17 defensive combat grenades, 40 unifying grenade igniters and 5.2 kg of suspected narcotic cannabis.
Furthermore, narcotic plants that were found cultivated near the residence of the arrested citizen, in the village of Shkret have been destroyed. From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these four citizens are also the authors of the cultivation of 320 narcotic plants found previously.
Meanwhile, the materials were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana General Jurisdiction for further procedural actions.
“Services of the Kruja Police Station, following the work to guarantee order and security, the identification and suppression of criminal activities, the red-handed capture of citizens who commit criminal offenses, the controls exercised to prevent the criminal activity of cultivating narcotic plants and of cases of illegal possession of weapons, have intensified controls throughout the territory and, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force, have finalized the coded police operation “Red Mountain”.
As a result of this operation, the citizen M. S., a resident of Shkret village, was arrested. 22-year-old, 20-year-old and 41-year-old citizens, all three residents of Shkretë village, were also declared wanted.
These citizens have cultivated narcotic plants in the village of Shkretë, near the residence of citizen M. S. During the search of this residence, the Police services found and seized as material evidence 1 Kalashnikov firearm, 21 offensive combat grenades, 17 defensive combat grenades, 40 unifying grenade launchers and 5.2 kg of suspected cannabis narcotics.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that these citizens are the authors of the cultivation of 320 narcotic plants, found and destroyed previously by the Police.
