Cypriot police arrested a young Albanian man and seized about 42 kg of marijuana, as announced Friday. This operation took place in a village of Larnaca in Cyprus, where the vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Albanian resident of Larnaca was stopped for inspection.
Inside his vehicle, the police found and seized 20 kg 669 grams of marijuana. During the search of his apartment, the police seized another 21 kg 303 grams of marijuana.
Albanian has no criminal record in Cyprus and has refused to cooperate with the authorities.
Suspicions are that the drugs were destined for the Cypriot market.
