Interior Minister Ervin Hoxha held a meeting with the central and local leaders of the State Police. He said that the progress in the last decade in the State Police is remarkable.
“In the 22 years, I believe that I am a sufficiently objective witness to say today that the progress of the last decade is remarkable, if we consider the critical point where the State Police had reached and the depressing feeling of abandonment experienced in our ranks until 10 years ago.
“I don’t even doubt that many others could have stronger credentials to be in my country, from political ones to credentials of friendly connections. This fact makes the weight of responsibility even heavier for me to deserve the appreciation you gave me, entrusting me with this task.
I wish that this is how the new General Director and the new leaders of the districts and key structures of the State Police see the career promotion, in this historical time of Albania that is negotiating the membership in the European Union.
They will be elected in the coming weeks with the same spirit and credentials, the same of their professional profile and merit in the work. Nothing will affect their selection process except merit and integrity.
The newly approved new law of the State Police, the main credit for the very good content of which goes to my honorable predecessor Taulant Balla and the current leaders of the State Police, is an excellent platform for the further reformation and modernization of our police force” , he said.
