“Today I am a mujahedeen”, said Sali Berisha, while speaking in the plenary session about the police operation in the MEK camp, in Manze, Durres.
“At this moment, more than ever, I feel like one of them, I feel like a mujahedin, a freedom fighter.
I extend to them my sincerest feelings of support and sympathy.
I feel mujahideen today because the amoral government of this country killed a freedom fighter in its own bread, in its own shelter.
I feel mujahed today more than ever, because yesterday’s indictment that you read is the most shameful story for a country.
The indictment was based entirely on slander, fabrications of the ayatollahs’ services to the freedom fighters.
The indictment contained elements of extreme humiliation of Albania and Albanians, as if it is not a NATO member country, but as if it is a vassal of Iran.
I demand the immediate resignation of the Minister of the Interior. I ask that we observe a minute of silence for the martyr of freedom who fell to become immortal.” said Berisha.
