The deputy Prime Minister, also Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Ballaku is in New York where she is participating in the high level political meeting in the United Nations.
In her speech, Balluku stated that in this meeting the focus was on the summit that will take place in September and on the objectives for renewable energy in 2030. According to the minister, the important thing is that the Albanian government has worked hard in this direction and in 2030 aims for our country to be taken as an example in terms of renewable energy not only in the Balkans but also in Europe.
“I am at the headquarters of the United Nations, where the high-level political meeting regarding the objectives of sustainable development took place.
A meeting that prepares what will happen at the September summit where all countries will sit down to talk about a roadmap that will serve for the future and the targets set in the 2030 agenda.
The Albanian government and the parliament have talked a lot about this agenda and have focused on this target where we have used 42% of renewable energy and for the year 2030 we have decided that this target will be 54%, making our country an example for to be taken not only for the Balkans but also in Europe”, said Balluku.
