Arta Marku resigned today as Chief Prosecutor.
Marku said she felt appreciated directing the central prosecution in these two difficult years and that she feels happy to hand over the job to a former classmate.

The justice system is undergoing a profound reform process some institutions have been and continue to be missing. I have tried to work with dedication from day one as any state official should do.
I can’t thank enough the staff that have helped me in these two years.
I have a special thank you to the media, thank you for the space you have dedicated me to when you were kind whether you were even less. Congratulations to the Prosecutor General.
I’m very happy to hand over the job to a former classmate of mine, ”said Marku.
