The Parliament of Albania returns to normality, after several months of noise and chaos. The Speaker of the Assembly, Lindita Nikolla, at the beginning of the plenary session, presented the agenda to the legislators, while the deputies of Re-establishment are expected to join the votes with the socialists for the establishment of two parliamentary investigative commissions, agreed before with the majority.

The Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, during the speech at the Assembly of the Socialist Party that was held in Durrës last Sunday, stated that the majority was not against the opposition’s demands for the establishment of investigative commissions, but added that the object of their request did not be in accordance with the constitution.

“Therefore, within the constitutional framework, we could have voted on those two investigative commissions on time and with a meal, if they had not been blindly searched outside that framework”, he said.

The two investigative commissions, which are expected to be set up, are for the leakage of data from the TIMS system, as well as for PPPs in Health, specifically public contracts for check-up and sterilization./abcnews.al
