The Special Court has left the former mayor of Fushë-Arrez, Fran Tuci, in prison and Ndoc Marku, former administrator of the Iballe Administrative Unit, under house arrest, who are accused of abuse of office and destruction of property.
In Friday’s session, Tuci denied the accusations. Failure to fulfill the duty according to the anti-corruption prosecution has brought material damage to the state, not only due to deforestation, but also the opening of an autorural segment not approved by the authorities.
He fell into the handcuffs of the investigation initially started in the Puka prosecutor’s office, which after the findings announced the lack of competence and delegated the investigations to the special prosecutor’s office.
Nevertheless, the prosecution has requested house arrest for the head of the administrative unit Iballe Pukë, as well as a fatromist who is suspected of destroying property.
