Two officials of IKMT(National Inspectorate of Territorial Defense) in Berat have been arrested for the crimes “Abuse of duty” and “Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions”.
The Court of First Instance in Berat has issued a security measure of arrest and imprisonment against two inspectors of the Environment and Forests at the IKMT. The decision comes after a two-year investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office of Berat.
The police announce that from the actions taken during the investigation, it is suspected that these citizens, by actions or inactions, have favored different citizens and subjects to exercise their activities in violation of the law.
