Tirana Court decided a month ago to close the case over the libel lawsuit of the Haklaj family against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Abcnews.al has secured the decision made in December last year, which finds out that the case has been closed because the Haklaj family lawyer has not appeared in court several times.
Muharrem Haklaj, Aishe Haklaj (Basha) and Zylfie Haklaj, had sued Berisha in court for defamation charges.
Charges
In October 2018, during a television show, former PM Berisha clashed live with journalist Artan Hoxha, accusing him of being a member of the “Haklaj gang”.
“You’re a bandit who gets paid by gangs. You’re a Haklaj bandit ”, Berisha told to Artan Hoxha, accusing other members of the family of violating their honor, dignity and reputation. /abcnews.al
