A 30-year-old man has been criminally prosecuted this Thursday after trying to bribe a Border Police employee in Kakavija.
Based on information released by police, the 30-year-old man had put 50 EUR inside his passport so that the police would allow him to cross the border irregularly after he had been deported by the Greek police.
Following the procedural actions, the proceedings were started for the young man in a free state for the criminal offense “Active corruption of persons exercising public functions”.
Meanwhile, the materials have been passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër for further actions.
